Viki was our first favourite cat, which I bought on a zoo market in Szczecin. It supposed to be a female, as we were assured by the seller. Although, after a certain time Viki turned out to be a male…and it remained so It was a beautiful blue Persian cat without pedigree but with incredibly nice character. He loved sitting on laps, sleeping on a pillow and biting delicately the hand that didn’t want to stroke him. He was very pushy in his tries to attract somebody’s attention. As his owner he chose my daughter Amanda, with whom he slept in bed and used to harass with his miaow to be stroked.
Viki was very intelligent as for Persian. Because he was very greedy for dry cat food, kids taught him to jump over a hoop. Obviously, he had his own tested way to lead us to the kitchen to his cupboard and to ask for it. All the way he used to turn his head to make sure that somebody was still following him. Got forbid, if somebody missed the way. He quickly ran and with his eyes and miaowing was showing where to go. It was so funny.
He could also play ‘hide and seek’ (he preferred seeking…) and ‘tag’. He was indefatigably fetching small balls. All visitors were welcomed by him but none of them could enter the house unless he devoted to Viki a few moments of caresses, especially of stroking his belly.
