Polenta

Born in 2000

Polenta or Pola, came to us in the same way as Viki, when we decided that our male needs company. It was a black tortie Persian without pedigree, which could be only recognized by the small red spot on the head. Pola wasn’t both as pretty and nice as Viki, she was more independent.

However, she was my cat and she used to come to me on my laps and she also slept with me, whether at night or during my afternoon nap. This catkin was unbeaten in catching flies in our flat and frightening pigeons and other birds from the windowsills. She loved chasing a laser light or a mirror reflection. Pola, thanks to her smartness, invented another way to get dry cat food. She just lifted the lid of a box with her head and put it inside to get what she wanted. She had some wildness in her nature, what she showed by her unwillingness to be taken on the hands and to be carried. This is why I esteemed and loved her more than Viki. For her wildness and independence.

Unfortunately, the catkin shared the fate of Viki and together with him, after eight years she was given in pain to the new owners.
